Matt Castellvi is an accomplished American comedian with over 15 years of experience entertaining audiences around the globe. Born and raised in Chicago, Matt honed his craft at the city's legendary comedy institutions, including The Second City, iO Theater, and CSz Theater. A versatile performer, Matt regularly showcased his improvisational prowess with renowned troupes like The Musical Armando at iO and Baby Wants Candy at The Second City.

Matt’s talent has headlined comedy festivals worldwide, such as the Miami Improv Festival, Big-Little Comedy Festival, Omaha Improv Festival, Chicago Musical Improv Festival, Oslo Improv Festival, Utrecht International Comedy Festival, Mad Goat Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

As a stand-up comedian, Matt is a regular fixture at top venues like Zanies (Chicago, Rosemont, and St. Charles), Laugh Factory Chicago, Comedy Bar, and The Comedy Shrine. His sharp wit and magnetic stage presence earned him the title of Best Stand-Up (Runner-Up) in Chicago, as voted by the Chicago Reader in 2019.

Currently based in Amsterdam, Matt is a cast member at the world-renowned Boom Chicago, where he continues to captivate international audiences. In addition to his own shows, Matt is a professional tour opener for comedy heavyweights such as Iliza Schlesinger, T.J. Miller, Jim Gaffigan, Jeff Arcuri, and Alan Carr.
